I just heard from the retirement home (where I had the interview on Thursday). I got the job. :D I go in Monday afternoon to pick up my orientation package. I told her I was available to start Tuesday...so I could be working as early as then. :D YAY!!!!!

So that job interview this afternoon....sounded really promising. :) I think I got the job...I will know for sure on Monday. But the woman told me that she really thought I'd be a great fit with the rest of the team and she was really comfortable and confident with how the interview had gone. I have an interview this afternoon at 2pm for the part-time cook at the retirement home.

Today I applied to 3 more jobs. I've already gotten a call about one of them: part-time cook at a nearby retirement home. I'm now playing phone tag with the woman to set up an interview. Hopefully we can touch base tomorrow and get something set up for this week.

I didn't get the job. I was apparently second choice.

So...it's back to the job boards for me.

I haven't heard about the job I interviewed for last Thursday. Boo. :( So tomorrow morning, I'm going to call and see if a decision has been made. I'll just explain that I've got a couple of other options that I'm entertaining and I need to know where I stand on this one ( Read more... )
